教学目标
一、基本目标
To understand the sentences: Can you hear anything/ something?
Be quiet!
There must be somebody in the next room
Mine the pronunciation in the tape to act out the dialogue.
二、发展目标
Have the students to make a new dialogue.
重点和难点
Can you ………………..? something and anything 的区别。
教学过程
Pre-task preparation
1. Ask and answer.
e.g. Have you got a pen? What’s your pet’s name? What can your pet do?
What can you do with your hands?
2. Make sentences.
e.g. feel: I can feel with my hands.
While-task procedure
1. Present the sentence: Can you hear anything?
T: Listen, what can you hear? (The teacher play the cassette)
S: I can hear a dog.
T: Yes, I can hear a dog, too. But I can hear some other things. Can you hear anything?
P: Yes, I can. I can hear…/ No, I can’t.
Pair work.
Practice (use objects): Can you feel/ taste anything?
2. Present the sentences: be quiet. Can you hear something? There must be….
T: Shhh…Be quiet. There must be something in the box. Listen, can you hear something?
Comparison and translation: thing, something in the box, Listen, can you hear something?
Comparison and translation: thing, something, anything.
T: What’s in the box? You can guess,’ ‘There must be…’
T: Come out! There’s an alarm clock.
T: We are having a class now. I think the others are having a class, too. There must be somebody in the next classroom. Who wants to go and see?
3. Listen to the tape and mark the following statements true or false.
4. Read after the tape.
Post-task activities
1. Answer the questions.
2. Act out the dialogue.
3. Imitate the text to make a new dialogue by the giving words.

一、基本目标:Learn to express the sentence “Can you…?
二、发展目标:Let the students make some dialogues according to the pictures.
